Dumai, February 17, 2025 – PT Kawasan Industri Dumai officially closed the series of National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month activities in 2025 with the theme “Strengthening Human Resources Capacity in Supporting the Implementation of the K3 Management System to Increase Productivity”. The event which lasted for one full month started from January 12 to February 17, 2025 with various activities involving employees, work partners, and the surrounding community.
Chairman of the K3 Month Committee of PT Kawasan Industri Dumai 2025, Firman Saragih said that this program aims to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of K3 implementation in the work environment and daily life. “We hope that this activity will not only become an annual ceremonial, but also a culture that continues to be applied by all elements of the company and society,” he said.
Various activities have been carried out in a series of commemorations of National OSH Month 2025, including:
- Blood Donation – This activity was carried out as a form of social care for others, in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Dumai.
- Fogging Around Pelintung Community Settlements – Efforts to prevent the spread of dengue fever through spraying fogging in residential areas around the industrial area.
- Caring for the Environment in Bahtera Beach Area – Beach cleanup activities involving employees, partners, and the community to preserve the environment.
- LK3 Seminar to Schools (SDN006, SMPN8, SMKN6) – Education on the importance of occupational safety, health, and environment to the younger generation.
- Safety On The Road – Socialization of driving safety to workers and the community to reduce the risk of traffic accidents.
- Plant Ambassador – Company participation program as an ambassador in the implementation of OHS culture in the work environment.
- Fire Fighting Competition – Fire fighting skills competition as a form of emergency preparedness.
- LK3 Quiz – A knowledge competition on occupational safety, health and environment for employees.
- First Aider Competition – First aid skills competition for employees to improve preparedness in medical emergencies.
- Wilmar Marathon and Fun Walk – A sporting event that aims to improve the fitness and togetherness of all participants.
The closing ceremony was lively with various appreciations for the participants who have actively contributed in all activities.
Business Unit Head of Wilmar Group Dumai-Pelintung, Mr. Simon Panjaitan, also expressed his appreciation for the success of this event. “This National OSH Month activity is a concrete form of our commitment in creating a safe and productive work culture. We must continue to maintain and improve the K3 spirit so that every individual in the work environment understands the importance of occupational safety and health,” said Mr. Simon Panjaitan.
